How to prolong the lifespan of spring clamps? Don't underestimate it!
1. The conical surface of the precision turning chuck is ensured by using threaded tires to ensure machining accuracy. The chuck body is machined on each surface after precision turning and drilling evenly divided holes, and then the conical surface is turned. When turning the conical surface, the threaded surface is used as the positioning reference. We design a threaded tire that can ensure machining accuracy when turning the conical surface. Firstly, screw the chuck onto the threaded tire, then install the threaded tire onto the spindle of the machine tool, and finally use the small tool holder on the support plate to cut the spring chuck.
2. Milling equal slot: When dividing slots on the iron machining chuck, first use an end mill to mill 20mm× 40mm hexagonal groove, and then use a disc milling cutter to mill a 3mm wide hexagonal narrow groove for dividing. However, this groove cannot be ironed through, and there are 3-4mm connecting ribs on the end face to keep the chuck body as a whole, ensuring that the chuck body does not deform after heat treatment and grinding the machining accuracy of each positioning surface of the chuck. After the above processing, the fixture needs to be heat treated, but the processing parts should be reasonable. The chuck head and tail need to be quenched, and its hardness is about 40-45HRC. The middle part of the chuck is not quenched to ensure the elasticity of the chuck.
3. Grinding the conical surface of the chuck: When grinding the conical surface of the chuck, the threaded tire is also used to ensure the grinding accuracy. The conical surface is an important positioning surface in the clamping process of the chuck. The accuracy of the conical surface directly affects the accuracy of the entire chuck. To design a set of threaded clamping clamps for grinding, the positioning reference is still the threaded surface. After grinding, the conical surface can have a coaxiality of up to 0.1mm relative to the threaded surface. Inner diameter of spring chuck: Use a grinding inner diameter tire to ensure the accuracy of grinding processing. The inner diameter of the chuck is also a positioning surface. Use the inner diameter of the chuck to hold the clamp block, and then use the clamp block to clamp the workpiece. Therefore, the accuracy of the inner diameter directly affects the accuracy of the workpiece being processed, which requires the inner diameter and the conical surface to be coaxial. We design a specially designed clamping chuck for grinding inner diameter molds, which is positioned with a conical surface. The grinding principle is shown in the following figure. The inner diameter of the chuck after grinding can generally reach a coaxiality of 0.02mm relative to the conical surface.
5. Spring chuck guide surface: The threaded tire is also used to ensure grinding accuracy, and the guide surface plays a guiding role in the chuck. It is required that the guide surface and the conical surface must be coaxial. The threaded tire used for grinding the conical surface is still used to clamp the chuck, and the grinding principle is shown in the following figure. The coaxiality of the grinding guide surface with respect to the conical surface can reach 0.04mm. The accuracy of the chuck is achieved through the processing technology and guarantee measures of the above five parts, but the quality of the long block misalignment installed inside the chuck directly affects the accuracy of the entire chuck.
